Boiler fault codes: why the exact model matters

Record the whole message

Write down letters, numbers, punctuation and any secondary code. Similar main codes can have different meanings across models or generations. A manufacturer’s general help page is useful orientation, but the applicable appliance manual is the more precise reference.

A code is not a parts order

Low pressure, failed ignition or an abnormal temperature can have several causes. Supply, wiring, sensors, circulation or operating conditions may be involved. Replacing the named component without checking the cause can leave the original problem unresolved.

Explain when it happens

A fault before ignition differs from one after several minutes of heating or only during hot water use. Note what still works, any recent intervention and visible pressure. Photographs of the display and accessible label help prepare the diagnosis; do not open the appliance.

Use the correct brand guide

Our English pages cover Vaillant, Bulex, Viessmann, Junkers/Bosch, Buderus and Remeha, with model limits. Avoid repeated resets or attempts to bypass a safety condition.
