New boiler installation: what to check in the quote
A boiler installation quote should explain the appliance and the work around it. Sizing, connections and commissioning all affect the result.

Size for heating and hot water
The existing boiler output is not automatically the right basis for replacement. Insulation, heat losses, radiator system and simultaneous hot water demand need consideration. Modulation and suitable controls matter alongside maximum power.
Survey the installation constraints
Space, access, supply, ventilation, flue route and condensate drainage can require adaptations. The old flue may not be compatible with the new equipment. Existing radiators may remain when their condition and the system design allow it.
Make inclusions and exclusions clear
Ask whether removal, connection changes, controls, cleaning where needed and commissioning are included. Clarify what happens if hidden constraints appear during work. A detailed quotation makes it easier to compare proposals with the same scope.
Expect checks and an explanation at handover
